Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
- Provide safe mobility assistance and support fall prevention efforts
- Document care accurately and timely to maintain clear resident records
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to promote well-being
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Class: GNA) — required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Comfortable working the overnight shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to geriatric care
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with documentation best practices
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and the care team
