Shift Type: Days vary (Per diem), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $37 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for patients in the Bear Canyon Rehab Center
Perform thorough assessments and develop timely care plans
Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
Document patient status, interventions, and responses clearly in the chart
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and recovery goals
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or comparable clinical setting preferred
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Current immunizations and any facility-required screenings or trainings

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for overnight nursing care
Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
Comfortable with electronic health records (EHR) documentation
Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Time management and the ability to work independently on nights
