Roles & Responsibilities

• Set up operating rooms with precision, ensuring all equipment is ready for success
• Assist surgeons by positioning, prepping, and draping patients with care
• Support diverse procedures in general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, OB/GYN, podiatry, and urology
• Maintain sterile environments to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to handle adult and pediatric cases
• Respond to on-call duties, making a real difference in emergency situations

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST via NBSTSA, TS-C via NCCT, or equivalent within 6 months of 3-year qualification)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Completion of accredited Surgical Technician training program or equivalent on-the-job/military experience
• Ready for rotational on-call including nights, weekends, and holidays

Education

• Approved Surgical Technician training program accredited by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST), or equivalent on-the-job training in clinical healthcare or military setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in surgical setups and instrumentation across multiple specialties
• Skilled in patient positioning, prepping, and draping techniques
• Strong sterile field maintenance and equipment troubleshooting
• Adaptable to general surgery, orthopedics, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, OB/GYN, podiatry, and urology
• Team player in fast-paced OR environments serving diverse patient populations
