Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders to empower patients to communicate and swallow safely
Complete thorough patient documentation including evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge summaries
Contact insurance companies to advocate for patient benefits
Educate staff like nurses, physicians, and dietitians with up-to-date research and in-service presentations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare providers for patient-centered treatment
Prepare treatment rooms and provide reminder calls to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications

Master's degree in speech pathology from an accredited program
Current Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathologist license
Valid driver's license
BLS certification
1+ years of related work experience preferred, hospital setting a plus

Education

Master's degree in speech pathology from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Intermediate computer proficiency
Strong assessment and planning skills
Quantitative and analytical competency
Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving abilities
Self-starter mindset
