Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 3 x 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to PCU patients with 1:4-1:5 ratios
Manage cardiac drips, insulin drips and heparin protocols expertly
Perform EKG rhythm interpretation and critical thinking in high-acuity scenarios
Administer peritoneal dialysis, tube feedings and advanced respiratory support
Provide post-cardiac cath and stroke care that makes a real difference
Collaborate with techs and team for outstanding patient outcomes
Maintain hourly rounding and AIDET communication for exceptional experiences

Qualifications

Active RN license
2+ years of PCU or progressive care experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
EKG rhythm interpretation proficiency
Experience with cardiac, insulin and heparin drips

Education

RN degree from accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking in fast-paced PCU environment
Peripheral IV insertion and bipap/high flow O2 management
Stroke care, post-cardiac cath monitoring and wound vac troubleshooting
NG/Dobhoff tube management and multiple oxygen delivery systems
