Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver full-time physical therapy to a diverse population from pediatric to geriatric patients across orthopedics, neurology, vestibular and wound care
Provide inpatient and outpatient care, home visits and community outreach in western Alaska
Travel to villages to bring essential therapy services where they're needed most
Adhere to Physical Therapy standards, JCAHO, OSHA and cultural considerations in patient care
Collaborate with physicians and medical staff as a key team member
Utilize equipment like hi-lo tables, whirlpools, ultrasound and therapeutic modalities

Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist in good standing in Alaska
CPR certification
Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
Hospital-based experience a plus

Education

Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication skills to connect with physicians, staff, clients and diverse cultures including non-English speakers
Mathematical abilities for computing rates, ratios and interpreting graphs
Reasoning skills to solve practical problems in varied settings with limited standardization
Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, regulations and write detailed reports
