Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct thorough clinical assessments, screenings, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients from birth to elders
Deliver brief therapy and continuing care to support families and individuals
Lead discharge planning and facilitate patient care conferences for seamless transitions
Coordinate care with hospital teams and community partners for optimal outcomes
Provide vital client advocacy, skill-building, and assistance with complex issues like Power of Attorney
Maintain precise, compliant documentation to meet all standards and ensure smooth billing

Qualifications

Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field
Licensed as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT (or in process)
Valid Alaska Driver's License (obtainable within 6 months)
21 years of age minimum
Clinical Competency Assessment within 3 months and every three years

Education

Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related discipline from an accredited institution

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in discharge planning and interviewing techniques
Crisis intervention and chemical dependency support
Ethical and legal management practices
Case management with tact and independent judgment
Mental health referrals and care coordination
Documentation per accreditation and billing standards
