Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure patients’ drug therapy needs are met through safe, evidence-based medication management
• Manage drug distribution workflows including unit dose and IV admixtures with meticulous attention to detail
• Provide clinical pharmacy services and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes
• Lead and participate in teaching activities for staff and learners to elevate practice standards
• Perform administrative duties and support quality improvement and regulatory compliance efforts
• Conduct or support research activities that advance pharmacy practice and patient care
• Use pharmacy computer systems effectively to maintain accurate records and support medication safety
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and clinical colleagues

Qualifications

• Hospital pharmacy experience required (retail-only experience is not sufficient)
• Familiarity with unit dose systems, IV admixtures, and technical/clinical pharmacy practices
• Strong computer skills and experience with pharmacy information systems
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently (self-directed)
• Commitment to compliance with State and Federal regulations and institutional policies
• Active pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in the state (ability to obtain required state licensure preferred)
