Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and therapies to patients using clinical skills and compassion
• Administer respiratory treatments and monitor patient responses, adjusting care as needed
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment safely and effectively
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care, device use, and follow-up needs
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress in the medical record accurately
• Participate in orientation and training to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist license in Washington (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program (Associate degree or equivalent)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS) encouraged
• Previous clinical experience as an RT preferred; new grads with strong training are welcome
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to variable, short-duration shifts and respond to facility staffing needs

Education

• Associate Degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in respiratory assessment, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments
• Comfortable with ventilator basics and airway management principles
• Skilled at using respiratory equipment and performing troubleshooting
• Clear clinical documentation and charting practices
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
