Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled respiratory care and therapies tailored to each patient
• Assess patients' respiratory status and implement appropriate treatment plans
• Administer respiratory treatments and monitor response to interventions
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, maintaining safety and cleanliness
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress accurately and timely
• Participate in orientation and training to maintain high standards of care
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use

Qualifications

• Current state license or credential as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) or eligibility to obtain licensure in Washington
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS or PALS as applicable or preferred
• Comfortable with respiratory equipment and common respiratory modalities
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to complete required orientation and credentialing processes
• Previous acute care or pediatric experience preferred but motivated new grads are welcome to apply

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field required
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or Healthcare-related field is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory anatomy, physiology, and common cardiopulmonary conditions
• Skill performing inhalation therapies, airway management, and ventilator support
• Familiarity with monitoring devices, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments
• Ability to document in electronic health records and communicate clinical findings
• Strong infection control practices and equipment maintenance skills
• Teamwork mindset with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
