Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with compassion and clinical skill
Perform respiratory assessments and develop appropriate care plans
Operate and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment safely and effectively
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
Document treatments, patient responses and pertinent observations accurately
Participate in orientation and unit-specific training to ensure consistent patient care

Qualifications

Current Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT or CRT preferred)
State licensure to practice Respiratory Therapy (Washington licensure encouraged)
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist; open to new grads with strong clinical training
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-focused environment

Education

Associate degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy (or equivalent)
Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with ventilators and airway management techniques
Knowledge of oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and pulmonary hygiene
Ability to assess respiratory status and respond to clinical changes quickly
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting practices
Calm, patient-centered bedside manner and sound critical thinking
