Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patients respiratory status and respond with timely interventions
Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory support equipment safely and effectively
Deliver aerosolized medications, airway management and oxygen therapy per protocol
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and execute respiratory care plans
Document patient care, progress and equipment parameters accurately and professionally
Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments, device use and discharge plans

Qualifications

Current WA respiratory care practitioner license (or eligible)
CRT or RRT credential preferred; new grads with strong clinical training considered
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS/Neonatal/Pediatric certifications as applicable
Clinical experience in respiratory therapy or acute care settings preferred
Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care, or related allied health field
Bachelor degree in Respiratory Therapy or Healthcare-related field is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation strategies
Skilled in arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation
Familiarity with oxygen delivery systems, airway management and suctioning
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
Comfortable working collaboratively across nursing and physician teams
