Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care while following facility policies and standards
• Perform thorough assessments and document changes in condition clearly and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity to support recovery and health
• Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation and comply with regulatory requirements
• Advocate for patient safety and quality improvement during every shift

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Maryland (MD) required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred, acute care experience a plus
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to provide care in accordance with UnitedHealth Group/UHC standards

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Infection control and patient safety procedures
• Time management and prioritization across multiple patients
• Teamwork and clear communication with patients, families, and staff
