Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to newborns in the NICU and nursery settings
• Perform neonatal assessments and implement care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Execute neonatal resuscitation and emergency interventions per NRP guidelines
• Administer medications and monitor infants, documenting care accurately in the EMR
• Communicate effectively with families, offering clear education and emotional support
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license (state of practice)
• NRP certification required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience in NICU or newborn nursery preferred
• Ability to begin assignment ASAP and commit to the 8-week contract
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Active RN license in good standing

Knowledge & Skills

• Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization (NRP)
• Familiarity with NICU and newborn nursery workflows and protocols
• Medication administration and IV/line management for neonates
• Accurate electronic medical record documentation
• Family-centered care and patient education
• Collaborative team skills and adaptability in fast-paced settings
