Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM equivalent, every other weekend, 2-3 holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to diverse MedSurg/Tele and Neuro patients including strokes and post-neurosurgery cases
Manage 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratios with confidence and skill
Titrate essential drips like Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine while monitoring PCA pumps
Perform hourly rounding to ensure top-notch responsiveness and patient satisfaction
Collaborate with charge nurses, techs, and tele monitors in a dynamic 25-bed unit
Handle multiple admissions and discharges daily, keeping the flow smooth and patients first

Qualifications

Active RN license with no hits
2+ years of experience, travel experience preferred
BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
Clean background and outside 50-mile radius from facility

Education

BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry awareness for med/surg patients
Drip titration expertise with Heparin, lidocaine, ketamine, and PCA pumps
Cultural sensitivity for diverse patients including Spanish, Karen, and Burmese speakers
Strong organizational skills for busy days with frequent admits/discharges
Team player mindset with great attendance and compassion
