Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling with trades allowed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
Independently manage patient assignments while supporting teammates as backup
Titrate and monitor critical drips including Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
Respond quickly to changing patient volumes and acuity levels throughout each shift
Float to other units as a helping hand when census demands it
Collaborate with the on-call OB team to ensure safe deliveries and positive outcomes

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license or eligibility for the 90-day emergency license
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Strong experience in L&D, Postpartum, Routine Nursery, and Intermediate Nursery
Ability to work independently across all areas with minimal supervision
Comfortable floating and adapting to dynamic unit needs

Knowledge & Skills

AWHONN-aligned patient ratios and evidence-based practices
Central fetal monitoring and maternal telemetry interpretation
Bubble CPAP and basic ventilator stabilization skills
Effective communication and teamwork in a small, tight-knit unit
Flexibility to handle both busy rushes and slower periods with equal professionalism
