Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality labor and delivery nursing care for mothers and newborns
• Monitor and manage high-acuity patients, including IV drips such as magnesium
• Circulate and assist in cesarean sections and support OR scrub roles as needed
• Perform OB triage assessments and prioritize care in a fast-paced unit
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN systems
• Collaborate with physicians, neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure safe outcomes
• Participate in unit floating within the women's and children’s service line as required

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (active and in good standing)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with labor and delivery experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Experience with Meditech and CPN documentation systems
• Comfortable with OR circulating and scrub roles; experience with cesarean sections helpful
• Comfort managing high-acuity obstetric patients and common procedures such as epidurals, spinals, cerclage, and version
• Ability to work in a fast-paced L&D unit and float within the service line when needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and fetal monitoring skills
• Hands-on experience with L&D procedures: cesarean sections, epidurals, spinals, cerclage, version
• Familiarity with Level III NICU interface and high-acuity newborn care workflow
• Proficiency with Meditech and CPN electronic documentation
• OB triage evaluation and prioritization
• Comfortable managing IV drips and emergency interventions in obstetrics
