Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 7:00 PM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, one-on-one care to laboring mothers and their newborns
Support families through every stage of the birthing journey with expert guidance
Assist with C-sections by scrubbing, circulating, and providing recovery care
Monitor fetal well-being using advanced Obix technology and respond swiftly to changes
Collaborate with a skilled interdisciplinary team to ensure safe deliveries down to 23 weeks
Educate and empower new parents during the critical postpartum period

Qualifications

Active California RN license
BLS, NRP, ACLS, and Advanced AWHONN certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
C-section scrub, circulate, and recovery experience strongly preferred
Cerner EMR and Obix fetal monitoring experience a plus
Travel nursing experience welcomed but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Expert fetal monitoring and interpretation
High-risk antepartum and postpartum care
C-section perioperative support
Strong communication and patient education skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced L&D environment
