Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications with precision and safety
Manage ventilators from nasal cannula to full ventilator support while troubleshooting as needed
Interpret and document telemetry strips using GE monitors with tele tech oversight
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to maintain excellent patient ratios of 1:2-3
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed while delivering the same quality care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Must live outside the 50-mile radius of the facility

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Drip titration for cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications
Ventilator management from basic oxygen delivery to full support
Strong assessment skills for trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis patients
Ability to respond to on-call situations within 30 minutes
