Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients during night shift
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, ventilator settings, and complex med infusions
• Initiate and lead ACLS protocols during cardiac emergencies with confidence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans
• Perform timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record and communicate handoffs clearly
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Mentor and support less-experienced staff while maintaining a positive, safety-focused environment

Qualifications

• Current RN license with Nursys verification (ability to practice in RI or obtain RI privileges)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU experience required
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Required certifications listed: DCI/BVP, BLS, ACLS
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend as scheduled
• Successful completion of required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB, Hep B, influenza, varicella, Tdap)
• Current Fit Test and negative drug screen per onboarding requirements
• Familiarity with core competency and specialty skills checklists and readiness to complete employer exams

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills for critically ill patients and proficiency with ICU equipment
• Ventilator management and titration knowledge
• Critical thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure
• Proficiency with infusion pumps and complex medication administration
• Excellent communication and team collaboration in high-acuity settings
• Thorough documentation skills and comfort with electronic health records
• Knowledge of ACLS algorithms and emergency response protocols
• Infection control practices and adherence to safety standards
