Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med-Surg and inpatient rehab nursing care to a 15-bed unit
• Perform safe patient transfers using Hoyer lifts, sliding boards and transfer protocols
• Administer medications accurately and manage medication documentation in Pyxis and Meditech
• Perform bladder scans, EKGs and routine assessments using VS machines to monitor patient status
• Document rehab scoring and patient progress clearly to support multidisciplinary care plans
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians and CNAs to ensure smooth bedside report and hourly rounding
• Act as a reliable team member who takes initiative and supports unit throughput and patient safety

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (RN Licensure required)
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience (as listed in the posting)
• BLS certification (required)
• Transfer training (required — candidates without this will not be considered)
• EMR proficiency (Meditech experience preferred)
• Rehab experience and rehab scoring documentation (preferred, will be considered first)

Knowledge & Skills

• Med-Surg nursing fundamentals and inpatient rehab practices
• Safe patient transfers and use of transfer equipment (Hoyer lift, sliding boards)
• Medication administration and Pyxis workflow
• Bladder scanner operation and basic EKG knowledge
• Vital signs monitoring with VS machines and clinical assessment
• Experience with Meditech EMR and clear clinical documentation
• Ability to work in a team, handle a 5:1 (max 6:1) patient ratio, and cover every other weekend
