Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (typically 3 shifts per week). Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Schedule may include every-other-weekend and occasional holiday coverage.

Candidate Pay Rate: $58.95 - $41.27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and promptly identify rhythm changes and alerts
• Communicate clearly and effectively with nursing staff and providers about patient status
• Maintain organized monitoring logs and escalate concerns according to unit protocols
• Support patient safety by multitasking across multiple monitors while prioritizing critical events
• Contribute to a smooth unit workflow by coordinating with bedside teams and responding to requests

Qualifications

• Prior Monitor Tech experience is required
• Basic EKG interpretation training required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to stay organized under pressure
• Comfort with multitasking across a monitor bank with ratios of about 2 techs to 50–65 patients
• BLS: not required for this role (as stated)
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including every-other-weekend and occasional holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry/monitoring systems familiarity
• Basic EKG rhythm recognition
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
• Comfort working with varied patient types (OBS, med-surg telemetry, PCU)
