Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality physical therapy evaluation and treatment in both inpatient acute and outpatient settings
• Develop individualized care plans that restore function and improve patient outcomes
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehabilitation team members to coordinate care
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safe mobility, and injury prevention
• Participate in required competency testing and specialty exams to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Michigan (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Comfortable working in both inpatient acute care and outpatient environments
• Available for alternating weekend shifts as part of the rotation
• Willing and able to complete required health screenings and competency exams

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills in orthopedics and acute care
• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, mobility training, and functional restoration
• Proficient with documentation standards and electronic medical records
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Experience with discharge planning and care coordination
