Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and individualized treatment plans
• Deliver effective interventions to improve patients' daily living and functional independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the facility EMR
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies and equipment use
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care with clear communication

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy license eligible for practice in California
• OTR or relevant certification preferred
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification as required by facility
• Comfortable with short-term travel assignments and onboarding quickly
• Ability to pass background checks and facility onboarding requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in occupational therapy assessment and treatment planning
• Experience with ADL/IADL training and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Familiarity with common documentation practices and EMR systems
• Good clinical reasoning, patient education, and family coaching skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced settings and adapt to variable caseloads
