Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 scheduled hours per week following first week of orientation, no guarantee of hours

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care across multiple medical and surgical units
Float between Medical Unit, Laulima Surgical Acute Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit as needed
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate documentation and charting
Perform procedures including wound vac and chest tube management

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Med-Surg or Step Down
Active Hawaii RN license or ability to obtain upon offer acceptance
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC preferred)
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
Flexibility to float between units and adapt to changing patient assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Med-Surg and Step Down nursing skills
Procedural sedation and monitoring
Wound vac and chest tube management
Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
