Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to elderly residents in a long-term care setting
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Support residents' emotional and social well-being through engagement
Qualifications
- Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a passion for elder care
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of elderly care practices and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and transfer patients using proper body mechanics
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on resident-centered care
