Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 36 hours per week, every other weekend, no on-call

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Provide evidence-based, holistic nursing care to a diverse patient population including general surgery, bariatric, trauma, and stroke patients
Ensure patient safety and positive outcomes through clinical expertise and communication
Serve as a clinical resource and role model for less experienced staff
Contribute to a healthy work environment through shared governance and teamwork

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent, straight medical-surgical nursing experience (no float, SDU, or tele)
Experience in a Level II or Level I trauma facility
Active Michigan RN license or compact license with Michigan verification
BLS certification (AHA) required before start
Travel nursing experience preferred
Skills checklist completed within one year for RN specialties

Knowledge & Skills

Expert medical-surgical nursing skills
Trauma nursing knowledge
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Time management and organizational skills
Proficient in electronic medical records and clinical pathways
