Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for emergency room patients
• Administer medications and IV therapy while monitoring for adverse reactions
• Triage patients upon arrival and initiate life-saving interventions as needed
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education on discharge plans and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all assessments and interventions

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Emergency Room experience preferred
• ACLS certification upon hire or within 60 days (or BLS with ACLS obtained within 60 days)
• BLS certification required at time of start
• PALS certification required within six months of hire
• TNCC, ENPC, and CEN certifications preferred

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert patient assessment and triage skills
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with ventilator management and ABG interpretation
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
