Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate psychiatric nursing care to patients in an adult behavioral health unit
Administer medications and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans
Conduct patient assessments and document care accurately
Implement therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
Educate patients and families on mental health management

Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
BLS/BCLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience
Experience with adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychiatric populations
Ability to work night shifts and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and best practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to de-escalate crisis situations effectively
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Team collaboration and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
