Location: Windsor, Vermont

Start Date: 08-03-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 36-hour guarantee, every other weekend and holidays as required

Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate total nursing care for patients in Med Surg and Rehab units
Provide patient and family education to promote recovery and independence
Serve as a backup Charge Nurse, leading the team in maintaining high standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Document accurately in Cerner EMR and adapt to unit needs

Qualifications

2+ years of recent Med Surg and Rehab experience
Charge RN experience required
Previous travel experience (at least 3 months)
Active Vermont RN License or Compact state license
Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
Must have own vehicle and be willing to work in a small community

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical and rehabilitation nursing
Proficient in Cerner EMR
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to float between units as needed
Reliable and punctual with a commitment to attendance
