Roles & Responsibilities

Operate advanced ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
Prepare patients for exams and ensure their comfort and understanding
Collaborate with radiologists to review images and assist in procedures
Maintain accurate patient records and uphold confidentiality standards
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with engineering as needed
Apply high-level disinfection techniques for endocavity probes following policy

Qualifications

Active ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB)
Minimum 3 years of ultrasound technologist experience
Must hold an active Maine state license or be willing to obtain one
Strong communication skills and ability to interact compassionately with patients
Experience with PACS and EPIC systems preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in ultrasound imaging techniques and equipment
Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology
Ability to adapt to different clinical settings and patient populations
Knowledge of HIPAA and patient safety standards
