Location: Waldorf, Maryland

Start Date: 07-03-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: As needed, including 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (evening shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, quality care to elderly residents in a skilled nursing facility
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Monitor and document vital signs, and report changes in condition to nursing staff
Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Promote resident independence and dignity while providing necessary support

Qualifications

Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in the state of Maryland
Current CPR certification preferred
Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be comfortable with flexible, on-call scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of elderly care best practices and safety protocols
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and transferring residents
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
