Surgical Technologist - General/Vascular OR

Location: Zanesville, Ohio

Start Date: 07-27-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, 40 hours/week: four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts; with call rotation including every 5th weekend and 1-2 calls per week (30-minute response time).

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are sterile and available
Assist surgeons during a wide range of surgeries including orthopedics, neurosurgery, and vascular procedures
Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments seamlessly during fast-paced operations
Maintain strict sterile field and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Manage and organize surgical instrumentation and central processing duties

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
Current BLS certification (required)
CST certification preferred
Minimum 3 years of recent surgical tech experience with diverse surgical cases
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of central processing and instrumentation
Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
