Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts

Hours per Week: 32

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate and quality nursing care to long-term care residents
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to healthcare team
Ensure patient rights and dignity are respected at all times
Participate in special committees and represent the nursing department professionally

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program
Current and active LPN license in the state of Alaska
Current BLS certification required
IV certification course completion
One year of experience in hospital or long-term care setting preferred
Certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP, and others as listed

Education

Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and medical staff
Ability to read and interpret professional journals and technical procedures
Mathematical skills for dosage calculations and data interpretation
Problem-solving skills to handle diverse situations with limited standardization
Ability to work effectively with individuals from different cultures
