Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality post-operative and critical care to CVICU patients, including CABG recovery and advanced cardiac support
• Manage ventilators and perform ventilator weaning with vigilant assessment and titration
• Perform invasive hemodynamic monitoring and interpret Swan Ganz and arterial line data to guide treatment
• Safely manage central lines, arterial lines and chest tubes while preventing complications
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
• Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment including GE monitors, EV1000, CRRT and Impella support devices
• Document care accurately in the Meditech EMR and communicate clearly with patients and families

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or other critical care specialty) as stated in the posting
• Proven ventilator management skills and comfort with chest tube, arterial and central line care
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and Swan Ganz catheter management
• CVICU-specific experience, CABG recovery, CRRT and Impella exposure are preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN and CCRN are nice-to-have credentials

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and respiratory assessment
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation (Swan Ganz, arterial lines)
• Central line and chest tube management
• Familiarity with CRRT and Impella devices
• Comfort using Meditech and bedside monitoring systems (GE monitors, EV1000)
• Strong teamwork, critical thinking and clear clinical communication
