Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate critical care for trauma, burn and surgical ICU patients
• Manage complex critical care equipment and therapies (ventilators, EVDs, MTP) with confidence
• Perform wound care, respond to codes, and lead bedside interventions during emergencies
• Document accurately and efficiently in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized patient plans
• Prioritize patient safety and maintain ICU patient ratios (typical 2:1) while mentoring colleagues
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and team members to support positive outcomes

Qualifications

• RN (required)
• Minimum 1 year ICU/critical care experience (Trauma, Burn or Surgical ICU experience is a must)
• BSN (preferred)
• CCRN (preferred)
• Proven clinical judgment, strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable working nights and meeting weekend rotation requirements

Education

• BSN (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• ICU nursing and critical care workflows
• Experience with critical care equipment and monitoring
• Wound care, codes, EVDs and massive transfusion protocol (MTP)
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR documentation
• Ability to safely manage a 2:1 patient ratio in high-acuity settings
• Team-based approach and willingness to float to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or PCU as needed
