Location: Bakersfield, California

End Date: 08-31-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized rehabilitation plans for patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning
Conduct thorough patient assessments and implement evidence-based treatment interventions
Document patient progress and adjust care plans to maximize functional outcomes
Support patients through their rehabilitation journey from acute care to discharge readiness

Qualifications

Current California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience required
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced hospital environments

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in acute inpatient physical therapy interventions
Knowledge of post-surgical rehabilitation protocols
Understanding of stroke recovery and deconditioning treatment approaches
Strong communication and patient education abilities
Proficiency in interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
