Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Start Date: 06-01-2026

End Date: 08-31-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start, 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, same schedule week to week with one weeknight call until 7:00 AM next morning and three 24-hour weekend call shifts per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Scrub in for a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedic trauma, total joints, and cranial cases
Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are ready for each case
Collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team to maintain patient safety and smooth workflow
Handle neuro-trauma call independently, demonstrating confidence and skill in cranial procedures
Support the team in a fast-paced environment with 18 cases per day across 11 OR suites

Qualifications

Current CST certification preferred but not required
BLS certification required
Proven experience scrubbing orthopedic trauma and total joint procedures
Ability to independently perform cranial procedures
Strong work ethic and positive attitude in a fast-paced surgical setting

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in orthopedic trauma and total joint procedures
Competence with cranial and neuro-trauma cases
Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
Comfortable with Davinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis systems
General OR experience across orthopedics, urology, ENT, and neurosurgery
