Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips each shift
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, and post-cath needs
Collaborate with the care team on total joint replacement recovery
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support patients across the system
Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem with precision
Support patients experiencing CVA and TIA with attentive monitoring

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with 80 percent on first or second attempt
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Preferred experience with total joint replacements, CVA, and TIA patients
Cerner experience strongly recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Comfort with BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments
Strong assessment skills for cardiac and medical-surgical patients
Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and aides
Flexibility to float between units and campuses
