Location: Bakersfield, California

End Date: 08-31-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for diverse patient populations including post-surgical, stroke, and general medical cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and functional outcomes
Document patient progress and adjust interventions to maximize rehabilitation success
Mentor and guide patients through their recovery journey with compassion and expertise

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification needed
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience essential
Strong clinical skills in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in treating post-surgical joint replacements and spinal procedures
Experience with stroke recovery and general medical rehabilitation
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced acute care settings
Strong communication and patient education abilities
