Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion.
• Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team.
• Support nurses with specimen collection, EKGs, and other clinical tasks as trained.
• Provide safe patient transport and ambulation assistance to promote mobility.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols.
• Document care clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain clinical competency.

Qualifications

• CNA or PCT certification preferred; equivalent clinical training considered.
• BLS/CPR certification required or must be obtained upon hire.
• Previous experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or long-term care is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Ability to assist with patient mobility and stand for shift duration.
• Willingness to learn, follow protocols, and provide compassionate care.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA or PCT certification preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required or must be obtained upon hire.

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations.
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling.
• Basic phlebotomy/EKG skills as trained (if applicable).
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation basics.
• Clear communication, teamwork, and time management.
