Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Provide compassionate bedside care and maintain resident dignity at all times
• Follow individualized care plans and communicate observations to nurses and supervisors
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Support safe transfers and mobility assistance, using proper body mechanics
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and infection control practices
• Comfort with taking vitals, documenting care, and following care plans
• Good observation skills to notice and report changes in resident condition
• Ability to perform safe resident transfers and use of mobility equipment
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced healthcare setting
