Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting changes in patient condition
• Assist nursing staff with daily tasks to ensure safe, dignified care for residents
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care provided
• Support infection control protocols and promote a clean, safe environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to coordinate care
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a positive unit culture

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania
• Minimum of basic patient care experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and assisting patients

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic nursing assistant duties: ADLs, feeding, hygiene, transfers
• Comfortable with vital sign measurement and documentation
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety standards
• Ability to use electronic medical records or paper charting with accuracy
• Team player who follows direction from nursing staff and supports unit workflow
• Good observational skills and the ability to report clinical changes promptly
