Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and compassion
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Monitor and record vital signs and resident status accurately
Document care and communicate changes to the nursing team promptly
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies at all times
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful interaction
Collaborate with the care team to promote resident independence and well-being

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (State of Pennsylvania) — required
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus
Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
Strong communication skills and a heart for compassionate care
Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively on a care team

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and ADL support
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Infection control practices and safe patient handling
Comfortable using electronic health record basics or paper charting
Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
