Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and regularly
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of resident care and observations
- Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, and family members
- Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Support resident dignity, independence, and emotional well being
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Current TB test and up to date immunizations as required by facility
- Successful background check and clear employment screening
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work well in a team
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care
- Good documentation practices and attention to detail
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Infection control principles and proper PPE use
- Effective verbal and written communication with residents and staff
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
