Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and support activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and repositioning to keep residents safe and dignified
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing leadership promptly
Support meal assistance and ensure hydration needs are met
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to ensure a safe environment
Build rapport with residents and families, offering respectful and person-centered care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in good standing (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required by facility)
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
Ability to pass background checks and required facility screenings
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of ADLs (activities of daily living) and patient mobility assistance
Basic proficiency taking and recording vital signs
Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
Comfortable with charting/documentation and following care plans
Teamwork mindset and ability to communicate effectively with nurses and families
