Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with compassion and respect
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes promptly
• Support safe patient mobility and fall-prevention measures during transfers and ambulation
• Provide timely, attentive bedside care and respond to patient needs with empathy
• Document care activities clearly in the patient record and communicate with the care team
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and other care staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background/health screenings
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
• Prior experience in long-term care or acute care settings preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in taking vitals and recognizing changes in patient condition
• Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
• Comfortable with basic charting and following care plans
• Good time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to de-escalate tense situations
