Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support safe transfers and positioning while following proper body mechanics
Communicate clearly with nurses, family members, and interdisciplinary team
Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
Document resident care accurately in the facility record system
Participate in care planning and resident-centered activities to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

Current CNA certification required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working with older adults and those with chronic conditions
Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements
Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Required: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of resident personal care and hygiene
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
Safe transfer and lifting techniques
Infection control and standard precautions
Basic electronic or paper charting practices
Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
