Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Support safe patient transfers and proper use of mobility aids
Maintain clean, comfortable patient environments and follow infection-control practices
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
Document care and observations promptly and professionally in patient records
Assist nursing staff with treatments and observations as directed

Qualifications

Active CNA certification or completion of an accredited CNA program (CT certification preferred)
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain per employer requirements
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health/immunization requirements
Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, patient-centered approach
Reliable, punctual, and able to work an 8-hour shift schedule

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental patient care techniques and ADL support
Basic vital signs measurement and recognition of changes
Safe patient handling and transfer practices
Infection prevention and proper PPE usage
Clear documentation and basic computer/charting familiarity
Team collaboration and effective communication with clinical staff
