Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and assist with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff by taking and reporting vital signs, intake/output, and observations
Support safe transfers and mobility assistance for patients with dignity
Document patient care accurately and promptly in the chart or EHR
Communicate effectively with nursing staff, patients, and families to coordinate care
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Participate in unit huddles, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Current CNA certification and active placement on the Georgia nurse aide registry
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or ability to obtain
Prior experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus
Ability to follow care plans, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Successful background check and required immunizations compliant with facility policy
Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and safe lifting techniques

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) — required

Knowledge & Skills

Foundational knowledge of patient care and ADLs
Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and basic assessments
Familiarity with infection control and standard safety protocols
Comfort with electronic health records and basic documentation
Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
Time management, prioritization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
